young grass

It was rather disappointing to arrive at Wakakusayama just to learn that it is not open to public in winter (just found out that trails are opened only from mid-March to mid-June and from mid-September to mid-November). Being full from the dango, we shared a curry rice at a random store on the street; the people are one of the nicest and the store gave a really Japanese ambiance, something like the Namiya General Store. We met a herd of greedy deer and learned about signs that make them leave you a.k.a the nothing-on-my-hand sign. Still a lot of deer poop in sight.
