moon crossing

I finally had time to finish editing ALL of the photos from last December; so glad that one of the most hectic weeks is over!

Togetsukyō (渡月橋) literally meaning moon crossing bridge serves as the division in between two rivers: Oi in the West and Katsura in the East. % Arabica's new branch was nearby but I was too full from our lunch and decided to come by next time.

The view around this little area was full of serenity; just imagining being surrounded by mountains and trees and birds by a really wide stream makes me recall the peacefulness and sadness whilst bidding goodbye to Arashiyama in the early-setting sun.

Meet the first yuzu/mikan (?) tree in our lives. How I'd wish to taste one of them freshly plucked from the branches.

Again we're lucky to be able to catch some fall colors on the way to the train station -Arashiyama is a popular tourist spot in both Spring and Autumn, and there definitely poses a challenge for me to visit here in both seasons so lets play safe and hope that I'll get to photograph Arashiyama again in 10 years.

The name Katsura sure made me laugh every time reading it. What's up Zura.

That was Arashiyama. Full of nature beauty and zen and good food ft. showing us another side of Kyoto. Certainly a must-visit on my Kyoto checklist.
