PICTUREHEAVY ALERT! (60+ photos)
We (my sister, my aunt and I) went back to my hometown on the last weekend.
We started our journey early, since my sister has to attend her driving lesson at 8 a.m.
-Day 1, 8/12/2012-
4 a.m. - 7 a.m.
It was a rainy morning. I didn't sleep because I was sitting next to the driver, but I slept for 3 hours after we reached my grandparents' place.
This is pulasan, rambutan's brother.
So many bunches of ripe rambutans!
Cocoa pods/fruits
This is what the chickens eat.
Grandma showing me her chicken coops and showing off that she bought 14 chickens from the market.
I'm not very sure why is the cup placed at the base but this is how rubber tapping works. Many of the elder in my family are rubber tappers, which includes my grandpa himself.
Then I slept till noon, had lunch and visited my uncle who's sitting for his STPM.
We talked about studies and iPhone. He wants an iPhone 5 badly but it hasn't launched in Malaysia yet.
Then we went out to buy some things.
This is the godamnlicious fried chicken we bought!! A must-have every time we go back to our hometown.
I didn't know what to do after eating (it's already 5 p.m. but the sun is still blazing hot), so I brought my camera out and walked around to see anything I can photograph.

and I stumbled upon a messy flower field!
These are the flowers of dandelion before it grows into a fluffy ball. It was my first time seeing so many these little purple buds so I got so excited to shoot. Too bad I cannot witness them bloom into dandelions since I'll not be there for the next two weeks.
Found a marble which we used to play with when we're younger.
My sister playing with my cousin's PSP.
-Day 2, 9/12/2012-
Again, a rainy morning.
I woke up to this wet world at 7 a.m.
So happy to see a rainbow!
(more accurately, I saw 3 rainbows: the big one, the reflected one and another one under the big one)
My breakfast has finally reached home after my stomach stopped growling.
Grandma making her special dumplings.
Cousin's breakfast.
Mine.
Gandum!! I'm not very sure that is this wheat or not, but I love it.
Finally finished reading this book.
There's a sentence which matches myself.
Fried dumplings (tbh I'm not very sure what to call this)
A mint plant, not sure about the species though.
This is my second aunt calling from New York.
The rubber tapper's shoes.
A ciku tree with many ripe cikus. I don't like this fruit though.
A colourful spider (shot with the 28-300mm lens)
They were laughing at someone who rolled down the window to say goodbye but at the same time got a camera to shoot them. My grandpa looks so cute when he smiles (probably he doesn't know).
Paddy fields. I have always wanted to see some golden ones but I didn't have the luck.
It started raining when we're halfway through the journey back home, so we I decided to stop by Bidor to buy some food.
We bought taro dumplings (θθ§) from this restaurant. The restaurant is famous for it's duck drumstick noodles but we didn't try it.
Eating something warm while you're shielded from the rain is one of the best things ever!
It has been raining non-stop on the journey home -___-
Wow. (You can guess what happened)
That's all for the 2D1N trip back to our hometown!
Nothing much, I went back basically for the food ✌
❈ Special thanks to the uncle and also Vicky for treating us to dinner!
