Day 1: 21/8/2013
We took on a flight at 9:15am, and landed at HK at around 1:30pm I guess. After getting
We got a free prepaid card provided by the uni (still not sure whether I need to buy another one or not), and checked-in our halls. After entering the room, I'm welcomed by the beautiful sea view from the window. With my dad's help (so thankful that he's here at this time!), I started unpacking and used a piece of table cloth to wipe all the surfaces. I'm kinda impressed that we've done unpacking in less than 2 hours.
After that we showered, and I met my seniors at the atrium. I'm not sure why but I felt super sad when my dad is about to leave (about to cry like literally). I'm glad that it turned out to be fine. The juniors (us) went out with the seniors for dinner and groceries shopping. I bought a pillow, a bolster (damn funny I brought it all the way on to the mtr and back to the hall), washing bag and a few hangers.
When we got back to the uni, the super energetic seniors continued to bring us on a campus tour. It was quite fun, but my legs are so tired I think I need some good massaging. Slept at 1:30am -new record :(
p.s. it's really humid here I would recommend you to turn on your air-cond at night. I've got a really nice senior who helped me to charge the air-cond arigatougozaimasu m(_ _)m
Day 2
A boring day. Attended talks and got the student card. We wanted to open a bank acc at the Hang Seng Bank but it seems that it'll be a lot more troublesome since we're from South East Asia :/
Then I met up with dad (he came to the uni since he's so shinpai that I don't know how to ride a bus), and went to WanChai to meet/have dinner with Tinnie, a senior which I knew through fb. She brought us around the place, and I have to say the trams looks fun!! On the train back to Hang Hau I nearly teared thinking that I'll be separated from dad. Also I remained in silent sadness on the bus back to uni. I can't talk/type a lot to dad, cos every time I do so I'm crying. Yes I'm that yowai. It's the separation which makes you sad,
Day 3
Simple. Attended 2 boring talks to get the hours for the HLTH1010 course, then an orientation for the non-local students and got free dinner. Met up with seniors again at night as I have so many question marks in my head (and get no solution :/) But I'm really thankful that I have so many friendly seniors here -they helped us a lot!
That's all for now! You can see that I'm losing that mood.
Good night.
