The trip happened somewhere post-midterms pre-spring break. I went back to Malaysia for my first spring break to fix my braces. Well it turned out that I still cannot remove them since there were some gaps which appeared since a wire broke some time ago. Well that's not important.
We (me, kp and zr) woke up really early for this trip. I watched and shot sunrise but didn't share a photo of it because it didn't look good. It took us around an hour to reach Tung Chung from our uni. I brought two cameras (I guess?) but only got to use my D90.
Picture-heavy post, everything is in chronological order since I'm too lazy to rearrange them. Didn't really like my editing back then but whatever. I have another bunch of photos waiting for me.
That's Ngong Ping: Tian Tan Buddha + Wisdom Path. The vegetarian lunch set was HKD33. I have to say it tastes good (and quite cheap!)
We took a bus from Ngong Ping to Tai O. It was Qingming Festival (also a holiday in HK), so there were many tourists around. It's also a relatively warm spring day, I guess that's why we witnessed forest fire in Tai O. We were lucky as that's the only sunny day in that week, the other days were rainy and cloudy.
It wasn't an easy task to shoot the white/pink dolphins. they appear randomly and go back into water after doing a leap. It requires pure luck to get a shot of it.
Tai O is also known as Venice of Hong Kong. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze.
We left Tai O via bus in the evening, around six. The queue for the bus back to Tung Chung was so long we thought we couldn't make it back to Tung Chung before seven.
We had so much food in Tai O, mostly local snacks but they sure are super filling!
We took the train to Disneyland before leaving as it's my first time taking the Disney train!
I don't remember what we had for dinner, probably sushi.
I bought myself dumplings the next day for lunch as I simply hate our canteen food.
Phew. Finally done with this post. I'm not sure when will I finish editing my Japan photos.
Ciao!
