melaka

I really enjoy visiting other states in Malaysia, as travelling locally doesn't hurt your wallet that much and I just miss my country after living abroad for some time. I always thought it was weird that I've been busy making plans to travel abroad but never locally despite I've not been to every corner of my country! #hypocritesial
I finally visited the ramadan bazaar nearby my place today and I feel a little sad that I didn't feel like a local when buying food from the Malay hawker despite being able to speak in their language and enjoy the food. I'm not even a third-culture kid?! Guess I have to work a little harder on my patriotism...
My second visit to the city of Melaka has got me revisiting some tourist spots and discovering one of the most popular cafe which features many of the traditional Malaysian Chinese utensils and architecture design. I wouldn't be shy to admit that I like really old antique stuff that holds history, which is why I would always recommend Penang and Melaka to my friends who want to visit! They are both listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (and obviously heavily featured in our history textbook) which I find extra precious for our young country.
Cafes always make great photos thanks to the abundance of natural lighting. We basically took the trip really chill cos I know I'll be back again.
