robot restaurant

I mean, don't waste your time/money since I've done that on behalf.
You'll get what they advertised: laser lights, robots, loud noises and smoke.
The interior of the restaurant is as bling as you can see here. I was impressed but not a fan.

Like really, spend your money elsewhere.

afuri

Like really, my favorite ramen hasn't been tonkotsu since my first time trying Kamukura Ramen in Osaka. AFURI brings shoyu ramen to another level by adding yuzu.

I love summer. There's plenty of light available and of course, plenty of hydrangeas in bloom.

interesting strangers / humans of harajuku

Oh wow, I'm still not quite done with my trip to Tokyo in summer 2018. I promise I'm finishing up.
Humans of Harajuku is another series that I find extremely fun to work with.

WELCOME TO HARAJUKU.

on the way to daikanyama

I had to visit Daikanyama again for Tsutaya, where I mistakenly got a long-sleeved tee by Yu Nagaba. We followed a steep hill up to Daikanyama from Nakameguro, and we passed by a crowded cafe which I didn't know the name of.

We headed to Akasaka for dinner after chilling around here. It was great to meet Aki for Matsuzaka beef before we end our short sweet trip!
And voila, I'm done with my summer in Tokyo series!

aoyama street views

Aoyama is totally walkable from Omotesando, though I'm not sure if many people choose to do so. My first visit to Aoyama left me the impression of a fashion-heavy area, where university students are from fashion schools and expensive brands were scattered around in buildings with funky designs.

So Tsutaya-like but it's Stella McCartney.

...and it's always fun to find something traditional amongst the modernity.

omotesando / a happy pancake

On our last day in Tokyo we decided to go big on breakfast. We braved ourselves to A Happy Pancake in Omotesando on a weekend morning and was lucky enough to get in without waiting for long.

We tried four flavors, and concluded that pancakes are just pancakes after all. I'm not particularly a big fan of fluffy things so I can't do its fluffiness justice.

We split after breakfast, one group heading to Harajuku and another towards Aoyama.
What a good morning to start with.

green nezu museum

Come and chill at Nezu Museum where trees are green and light is gorgeous.

We met some people who came in dressed in traditional clothing for chado practice. Such a great setting for a zen feeling.
