internet, my poison

Hello peeps.

It made me worried for a few days as my pc could not be connected to the Internet. It always showed up as "Unidentified Network, No Internet Access". It made me freak out when I get to know that this 17-inched screen laptop (HP Pavilion DV6-6167TX running Windows Home Premium -sucks, don't buy it just because it looks pretty, it's heavy, the batteries ran out real fast, the fan's making noises and it's old, I bought it two years ago) became a piece of metal trash, just because it is a computer which can't access the internet. I knew immediately it was the computer's problem as my iPhone can still be connected to the WiFi.

For my first few attempts, I flushed the DNS by doing this:
Startup > Run > type in "cmd", Enter > type "ipconfig /flushdns" Enter
It worked, but after a few days the magic stopped working. I'm no computer science major student so I have no idea what's going on here.

I lost internet connection for another few days, I googled a lot and tried various methods, hoping that my laptop will be able to connect to the internet soon (SO many assignments due this week orz)
But it didn't. The little yellow triangle sign kept popping up.

I decided that I have nothing to lose. I uninstalled the driver and it worked magically!
(This is the first time it worked, I don't guarantee I will be able to get connected to the internet on tomorrow.)

Wireless signal button > Open Network and Sharing Settings > Change adapter settings (left column) > Choose your connection, Right click > Properties > Configure > Driver > Uninstall
You will lose your WiFi connection for now. DON'T PANIC.
Go Startup search > Type "devmgmt.msc" and Enter > Action > Scan for any hardware changes

And ta-dah!! Your internet connection is back!

I wanted to share this on the blog, not because I'm a programming geek, but well, who knows if this happens again? I can solve it myself!
