hall vii

I'm never an active person. I actually didn't want to join the orientation camp held by my hall as I've forgotten to register for it one night before.
However, I decided to go because it was kinda compulsory, and because almost every freshman is joining. Then I paid 100HKD, got myself a hall vii t-shirt, and joined the people.
I have to admit, the activities were boring. I was never good at initiating a conversation with anyone, so it was a big step for me to take to know the other students. Hall VII is an international hall, 50% of the residents are from overseas (exchange or full-time), and the other half are local students. I managed to make another few friends, and I'm so glad that some people still remember who I am. Most of the times, they remembered me because I helped them when they're facing some difficulties in communicating with the locals. At this kind of situations, I'm thankful that I speak multiple languages.
Long story short, these are what we did today:
  • took a photo of us arranged in a way to form a "HALL 7" word (in the drizzle)
  • ice-breaking activities/lame games
  • lunch (not free)
  • treasure hunt (I skipped as I have an important talk to attend)
  • dinner (I paid for it!!!)
  • movie/bar night -I chose to return to my room
Time spent talking with my sister and parents using facetime was so good.

Good night.

p.s. I didn't go to LKF tonight. Sorry my friends.
