21/1/2013(didn't finish the post because of my laziness)
Yesterday I received a conditional offer from the university I applied for and got really excited about my future university life.
However, my father doesn't really encourage me to pick up engineering (which is what I applied for) because he wanted me to go for pharmacy (which was my choice before attending college).
I remember how I cried on that afternoon because I couldn't believe this happened, my sister was also happy for me, and I can't thank her enough for her help during my application process, but my dad just gave me a "meh" reaction.
However, when he told his friends that I might be (it's always might be cos the offer is conditional -I need 1A*2As for my A Levels) going to HK to study his friends are like wow why did she chose HK, how did she applied and etc, and he'll always come home and tell us about these in a proud tone (which makes me happy for making him proud).
At that time, there were still a little time before the closing of the NTU's application. However, on the last day I decided not to apply to NTU.
I've always thought that I'll be most probably going to SG for uni, but the reason I gave up is because they will be starting class earlier (than our results release date), and I don't think it will be easier to enter this uni than my uni. The only reason to apply more than one uni is to serve as a "backup", just in case you didn't meet the university requirement. And yeah, that's basically why I only applied to one university, and telling this to most adults will make them a little shock IMO.
After paying the deposit for my uni, I'm quite sure that I'll be entering this uni, and therefore
And therefore, this is the story of someone who only applied to ONE university (and still can't believe I did it!).
Now, I finally can announce officially that I'm going to HK (next week omg it's only a few days away)!
Thanks God for giving me so much luck every time. I'm too blessed.
Time to pack all my stuff (shit)
