These photos brought me back to the hot sweaty summer, heavy rolls of acrid smoke, delicious pizzas... featuring good company and a whole lot of people. We all came to witness the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance (大坑舞火龍), a tradition for the Tai Hang residents during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

All photos taken with Nikon Df + 50mm f/1.4 lens and processed with VSCOFilm in Lightroom5.
I would advise people who wanted to join the crowd to come earlier, preferably an hour before dinner time. There are restaurants along the street; come with your chat buddies and spend some good leisure time while waiting for the night to fall. It's good to have a place to sit in and chill, as it's gonna be smokey and hot outside. We spent the night at PizaZaZa. Try their four cheese pizza, it comes with cheese flavors in different strength -and I obviously went for the one with BLUE cheese!
Also, read more about the story of the fire dragon here if you're interested in.
