Another little detour from my Japan posts. Attending the Knight-Hennessy Scholars talk in my university made me recall visiting here nearly a year ago (and also reconsider my grad school plans) so here's a little post on it.

Visiting Stanford became inevitable when you're already attending the best public university in the States. I grabbed the opportunity and coach-surfed when my friends asked if I wanna go. It was nice to have someone to bring you on a university tour -at least I wasn't too lost or confused. I never imagined how Stanford looked like before I got there; my first time seeing the buildings reminded me of photos of Morocco I saw somewhere, which left me a very summer resort-like impression: the university is nothing like Cal, apart from how famous they both are in the bay area. And tbh it is kinda cool to have a church on campus.
