view from columbia center

Dug these out of my America folder on the flight back to Kuala Lumpur last evening. Holy I've been taking way too many photos back in the States (and always never updating the blog on time) -hence the messing up of timeline. I can never post this series in chronological order anymore so feel free to spot the change in editing style from time to time πŸ€¦πŸ»‍♀️

Columbia Center was nearby the Seattle Public Library and was recommended by a stranger we met in the library when he saw me attempting to photograph things through the window. A not-so secret to this building is you can access the view for free by paying for the coffee at Starbucks. It wasn't open on the day we arrived, hence we paid the student price for this view from the observatory:

After quite a few observatory experiences, I had a feeling that most cities look great from the top but it's always nice to find some iconic buildings at a miniature scale. Seattle, imo was unique for it's snow-capped mountains featured in the backdrop against the sharp-looking space needle (no pun intended) and it was nothing like any other cities I've been. Still practicing urbanscape shots, still practicing.
