slamdunk memories

Another reason to really like this area covered by the Enoden: Slamdunk.
I've never been a sports anime fan until Slamdunk (no I didn't watch The Prince of Tennis), and it's a good ol' classic. The retro style is really nice, and there's a lot of humor in it.
To my surprise, there's so many Slamdunk fans around here, and it's almost impossible to mimic Hanamichi's pose. Here comes the cons of the internet.

All I remember was being genuinely happy here, trying to avoid people and cars while shooting away.

Like really, I wouldn't mind coming back again just for another train ride by the sea.

riding the enoden

Well, you see, I had no choice but to record this beautiful journey from Enoshima to Kamakura with these photos.

See you soon in Kamakura!

katase ii

Part II of the little town Katase. Some guys were playing baseball near this station (this is not the Enoden station, fyi). It seems like a day off for them and they're enjoying it so well, which made me happy.

We walked the same road to get back to the Enoden station for our ride to Kamakura!

This side of the town somehow reminds me of Santa Monica, perhaps somewhere near the place we had dinner (so sorry that the post isn't up even after 2 years).

I'd love to come back again.

triforce jinja

It was a happy surprise for us to find the Triforce sign everywhere at the Enoshima shrine.

We got an omamori for mom for good health, but this shrine is famous apparently for love omamoris.

I'd love to get this omikuji, too bad I ran out of coins...

It wasn't a tough hike to get up there, but there's a lot of staircases. There's an option to take the escalator up, which somehow comes with a small price?

enoshima

Enoshima hit a special spot of my heart, and I had to admit it started from the anime Tsuritama. I am not super fan over the anime, but it has one of the most interesting styles and characters -I'm talking about that guy in a turban with a duck.

This is beniimo croquette (not sweet)

Had to get something warm from the vending machines when it's winter! Got our favourite honey yuzu and something new- hojicha latte and it turns out that both are a little on the sweet side...

This tako senbei is a wonder! Too bad it's impossible to be kept for later! So thin and flavorful. Don't miss this specialty!

The steam at this onsen place reminds me of Spirited Away, though there's almost no resemblance in terms of the architecture. I would take a bath here if we had more time.

Let's be honest, I would love to spend one or two days around this area covered by the Enoden.
