hong kong / underexposed

The ISO 1600 film must have hated me so much for trying to push (read: find) its limits. Still not quite good at knowing how bright is it to shoot indoors without flash.

Lesson learned.

post-church brunch

The Cupping Room, Wan Chai.

I finally went to this church for the very first time, and it was one of those things that I did just because I haven't done it before. I was never a very religious person, and therefore gave myself a purpose of going: for my grandmother. She rarely skips church, even if she doesn't really understand what's going on in the church. Thank God for giving her hope all this while.

cwb with sam

This is Sam on the left, she's an awesome girl who shone rays of light into my dull black life. She's got a wonderful extra sweet personality, her achievements (both academic and non-academically) can easily impress anyone, and I admire her positivity the most.
There were a lot of times in my life when I stop and think, why can't I be like someone, do awesome things and stay optimistic? The first letter of my personality test revealed it all: I am an introvert. It makes talking to people difficult, no matter how hard I try to converse my thoughts with them. Things often go the bad way when I try too hard. I don't like to give myself too many justifications, cos they are in fact just excuses.
Anyway, it was a great opportunity to be able to hang out with an awesome person like Sam. We reunite in our university's social event and she asked us out for brunch. What a sweet girl!

HK made a rainy entrance to September, where we already experienced two typhoon-hit Sundays and were anticipating for the next on today (which fortunately did not happen). I like both sunny and rainy days, but I hate gloomy days the most so really, I don't hate typhoons that much.

We shopped at several places before ending up in HeSheEat for dessert/dinner. Food was great but service was meh, we even got a 10% discount for their late serving of the panna cotta. And the beer was bought from a stall downstairs, cos the beer was pink and tastes fruity.

Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

beans

We came here the other day for tea, and we decided to come again for its lunch menu. My sister moved out of campus and our friend P came to help. It's nice to know someone with a car when overseas, cos you don't need to only rely on public transport (it sucks a lot in my country so I appreciate cars A LOT) Living away from campus can be a little troublesome but sometimes it's the distance that makes things beautiful.

old scoool

2.4.2017

It's always nice to have a space which gives off nostalgic vibes, even though we did not experience them during our school days. Scoool Cafe is a Taiwanese restaurant hidden in one of the industrial buildings in Kwun Tong, where we visited after a beach day in Sai Kung. It was confusing for a first timer to navigate around in the industrial building, but sure it was exciting to find the place tuck around in the corner. I have a feeling that more people are appreciating the rustic charm of antique furniture and things. The food was okay, but the environment was great especially for school mates' gatherings. We came in late and got almost the whole second floor for ourselves, and we talked till the last min before they close their doors off.

18 grams

30.10.2016

Found too many old pictures in my camera before I left Malaysia last time so I decided to get them out.
18 Grams at Causeway Bay is a really small cafe with little seats indoors, but sitting outside ain't too bad if it's not too warm. I still enjoy exploring local cafes, but man, they can be really pricey for the food you get. The coffee here was great, and I really hate how I always prefer hot coffee over iced ones even if the weather is warm enough.

Typical CWB and goodbye iconic F21.
