hometown on film
I finally developed two rolls of film when I went to Wan Chai to apply for a Chinese visa.
On the day before Chinese New Year, we went out for breakfast and handpicked some sea snails back for lunch.
And I went home again to vote for a change in May.
She's one of the people that made me not give up living.

the visit (4 years ago)
20/08/2013 was the day when I saved this post. I wasn't satisfied with the colors of the photos, but I didn't have the time to redo this post.
Again, I left them in the drafts since 30/7/2015. Moments of four years left behind untouched. I still go to the same places whenever I head back, but we definitely have grown differently.

a little fishing village
This little village called 新甘光 was a new place we explored -my uncle recommended this place (新甘光益豐茶室) for coffee and bread when we were talking over breakfast. It wasn't easy to find navigation, not even on Google Maps -Instagram geotagging and Apple Maps did the job leading us here #socialmediapower
We visited this place twice as it wasn't open in the afternoon during our first visit. It was a half-an-hour drive from my grandparents' place and we managed to persuade my grandparents to come along. I casually chatted with a lady whom was carrying a container from the jetty, when I thought she was here to fish but turned out to be releasing prawns (放生). After a little while she turned to talk with my grandma and found that they both came from the same village. I guess that's the good thing about coming from a small area: everyone knows everyone. I hope that we get to do more of these little travels as I can tell they enjoyed it very much.
monsoon season
I went home during my 10-day break in the semester and it rained every single day. I didn't mind the rain at all -heavy pours are my favourite (given that I am sheltered from it), as long as there are sunny moments. I didn't even know why I had to leave this place.
I held my camera in my hands as we were stuck in a jam from all the fallen trees blocking the road back to our hometown, and dad was like "Hey, photograph that! It's not like you'd get to see real-life gotong-royong everyday!"
