winskkuiss #14: busan day ii part ii

13/07/2014

When I first arrived Seoul for the summer exchange program, a friend told me to explore the city by myself, and I didn't do so until I came to Busan. It was a travel vs. shopping decision and I ended up being the one and only minority. We parted ways in Nampo-dong, I hopped on a bus heading for Taejongdae, observed people when I do nothing and took photos wherever I go.

There was a traffic jam so the bus driver had to let us down earlier. I didn't have a clue of what to see in that place and somehow bought a train ticket at 2000KRW and started queuing with the people. It was a Sunday, a family day so many people brought their children to this place.
My one and only regret is to miss the stop at Taejongsa Temple. The hydrangeas (-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩___-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)

We reunited and had dinner at the Jagalchi Market before leaving Busan. The sashimi wasn't too impressive and one of my girlfriends wasn't dare to eat the eels after seeing them wriggle as they turn from raw to cooked...

winskkuiss #13: busan day ii part i

The Jagalchi Market, BIFF Square and Nampo-dong are located pretty closely on the left side of the Busan station. For the last day of our Busan trip we decided to spend time leisurely and made sure we get to the station on time before our KTX shoots off. Totally missing this place for the hotteoks and the umbrellas...

winskkuiss #12 : ihwa mural village

One day after school we decided to go to somewhere nearby the university. Apparently there is such a place where the filming of a scene from a drama, Rooftop Prince took place: Ihwa Mural Village.

(Rooftop Prince episode 15: the filming starting from ~39:00 took place in Ihwa Mural Village)

A self-confession: I'm horrible at navigating. Not even with GPS. I got lost and in the end of the day, luckily one of my friends were able to bring us there. So I can't provide directions to go to this place, but this might help you if you're looking for how to reach there. We had chimaek (at one of the shops endorsed by Lee Minho ◍•ᴗ•◍❤) before going as one of our friends were hungry, and this explains why we reached there at sunset. Not the best time for shooting so forgive me for super grainy photos. But this place is super pretty! The flower staircase is my favourite! Too bad for bad lightning (。•́︿•̀。)

We didn't get to explore everything as we reached late and have a morning train to catch on the next day to Busan, where the guys also planned to go to Gwangju so we had to leave earlier. Also, we realized how close the place is to our dorm on the way back. Silly me is silly.

winskkuiss #11 : tosokchon samgyetang & ddp ii

The DDP is such a photogenic structure. We decided to visit this place again at night, cos it wasn't open on our first visit during daytime. Trust me, this building is so much gorgeous at nighttime! All the lights \(*゚∀゚*)/

We had dinner at Tosokchon, where you probably have heard about its famous samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) -a must try in Korea! It's obviously good for your health as ginseng is one of its main ingredient, and to my surprise, Koreans usually have it in summer! I was late so it was a pretty funny thing recalling how I reunite with my friends there, I tried to describe that my friends are already here by telling them that my chingu is already here, and they are all namja (つω⊂* ) and luckily someone understood my weird Korean ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄

This time, we entered the DDP to satisfy our curiosity. I have to admit, I wanna buy everything in there! (but everything is so pricey...)
DDP is a nice place for you to get some inspiration from the creative designs displayed. We bought a wallet for a poor guy who lost his wallet on the ITX, and I bought an EXO notebook for my lil sister at the SM popup store. Tbh, there's too much to see here, I just can't get enough of this place from just one visit!
