I was totally excited to visit the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) after seeing some images (see this, this and that) shared by Pei on her Instagram @pketron. Too bad I wasn't in Seoul early enough and didn't get to see Yayoi Kusama's exhibition (well this is a totally different place and topic...), but I'm really in awe staring at this beautiful structure with its sexy curves everywhere and regretting for not having a wider lens. But well, I gave my best...
We went for the Inspiring Journey exhibition and made ourselves souvenirs: a customized DIY luggage tag and sticker! There was another exhibition for the drama My Love from the Star going on there that day, but I decided not to go for it cos I'm not really a big fan of Do Min Joon-shi (〃・ω・〃)
We left the place for Hongdae in the evening. It was my first time in Hongdae so I find everything intriguing! We had fried chicken with beer that evening and walked around that place before ending up in Bingsooro for bingsoo! I've been hunting for a good patbingsoo place since I've arrived (now I know it's everywhere but it seems that no one wants to go with me...), and the guys seemed to find one in Hongdae (◍•á´—•◍) However, we didn't make it to the bingsoo place they found as we're too tired to walk.
I have to say, it is one of the best decisions we've ever made. The Japanese style matcha kakigori is so good, although my friends prefer the berry yoghurt bingsoo more.
