Antelope Canyon has always been on the top of my travel list. I heard that it was every photographer's dream, and I've seen way too many photos on Instagram prior to our visit. But gods, all 12 p.m. slots booked by the pros?!
We arrived late in the afternoon, hence the canyon is less colorful than I thought -it lacked the saturated yellows and purples, leaving mainly shades of orange. I was quite disappointed as many of them turned out extra grainy/shaky/wrongly exposed etc. It was difficult to get great abstract shots as a first timer, but the Red Indian tour guide sure pointed out a lot of interesting spots.
Also, if you're taking the jeep tour like I did, make sure to watch out for the red sands on the way to/from the canyon -not very clean, I'd say.
